Stand With Br. Sohail After the Valley Fair Mall Attack
Assalamu Alaikum!
We want to inform you of a serious incident that occurred yesterday afternoon at Valley Fair Mall in West Valley City. Br. Sohail, a Muslim man working at a kiosk, was approached and repeatedly stabbed around 2:30 PM on Monday. He was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. Alhumdulilah, he is recovering and we ask the entire community to keep him and his family in your duaas for a full and swift recovery.
According to police, the attacker was arrested at the scene and has stated that he targeted Br. Sohail for being Muslim. He is being held on charges of attempted murder and remains in custody.
